The baby … Posted on 25 February 2008 by Carole I created this small book as an experiment in playing with Paintshop Pro. I’ve used layers, photo manipulation, and special effects and collaged them all together. I’m hoping that this will count towards my digital imaging unit at college.
This is an interesting piece, Carole. It’s been way too long since I’ve visited your blog – I love your thought-provoking posts.
Do you know the 6 word Hemmingway story,
“For sale. Baby shoes. Never worn.”
Your piece sort of made me think of it.
I hadn’t heard the Hemmingway story. It’s really poignant. I love this kind of very short fiction. I can see why the theme of my book reminded you of it.
Interesting! But it’s also slightly distubing…..
You always come up with something to make me think!
Thank you, Julie! It’s good to know that it is thought-provoking.
I’d like to second Julie … I thought the same …. “NICE! …ermm…. spooky…”
This is art! I like the touch of mystery, too.
It reminds me of a book, “When the Wind Blows.” The spooky story of a baby.
Thank you. I’m really interested in how this piece seems to bring back memories of other stories. This is good!
Hope all is well with you.
